Liberia National Commission on Arms (LiNCA)
Pursuant to the statutory mandate of the Liberia National Commission on Arms (LiNCA), and in accordance with relevant provisions of the Amended Firearms and Ammunition Control Act of 2022, the Commission officially launched and commenced the Civilian Arms Registration and Marking exercise of Single Barrel
In February 2025, H. E. Joseph N. Boakai, the President of the Republic of Liberia, issued Executive Order 141. This order mandates civilians who owned firearms, including military-style weapons and Single Barrel Hunting Guns, to register their firearms and obtain the necessary permits and licenses from the Liberia National Commission on Arms and the Liberia National Police, in accordance with section 4.6 of the Act Amending the Firearms Ammunition Control Act of 2022. The Executive Order provides amnesty to all civilians in possession of firearms, permitting them to register their weapons with the Commission without facing penalties, within a one-year timeframe
